Leucospermum

Leucospermum

Leucospermum nutans is known in English as the Pincushion, the literal translation of the Afrikaans name 'speldekussing'. Its common name describes best the appearance of the Leucospermum: it looks as if it were covered in pins.
Leucospermum was originally only grown in South Africa, but as production spread to Portugal and Spain in the Northern Hemisphere, most varieties are now available almost year-round. Leucospermum is available in a range of colours.
